In the CO21 “Challenge” trial, colon cancer patients who exercised 2.5–3 hours a week had a 37% lower risk of death and were more likely to remain disease-free after 5 years.
Bottom line: Experts now call for supervised physical activity to be integrated into post-cancer care protocols, not just rehabilitation.
