In a landmark move under NEP 2020, five world-renowned universities, including the University of York, University of Aberdeen, University of Western Australia, Illinois Institute of Technology, and IED Italy have received Letters of Intent to open campuses in Mumbai. This monumental gesture signals growing international confidence in India’s education ecosystem and positions Mumbai to emerge as a global knowledge capital. The announcement came during the “Mumbai Rising: Creating an International Education City” event, underscoring India’s ambition to build a world-class education hub.
