Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a post-budget webinar on “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas,” outlined India’s roadmap for inclusive growth, focusing on education, healthcare, employment, tourism, sports, and women’s empowerment to build a “Viksit Bharat.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a key post-budget webinar on the theme “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, Fulfilling Aspirations of People.” The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academics and sector experts to discuss how the Union Budget’s policy announcements can translate into real economic opportunities and social welfare outcomes.
The discussions focused on sectors that directly shape citizens’ daily lives, including education, health, tourism, sports and culture. The government described these areas as the core drivers for inclusive growth and the long-term goal of building a “Viksit Bharat” or developed India.

During his address, Prime Minister Modi said fulfilling public aspirations remains central to the government’s development agenda. “Fulfilling public aspirations is not just a subject. It is the core objective of this budget and the resolution of this government,” he said while inviting suggestions from experts participating in the webinar.
Linking Education to Employment and the Future Economy
One of the key themes of the webinar was strengthening the link between education, skills and employment opportunities. The government believes that educational institutions must prepare students for emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, automation and the digital economy.
Prime Minister Modi emphasised the need to align academic systems with real-world economic needs. “We will have to accelerate the process of linking our education system with the real-world economy,” he said during the webinar discussions.
He also stressed that innovation and entrepreneurship will play a major role in India’s growth model. “India is moving towards an innovation-driven economy,” Modi said, urging universities to collaborate more closely with industry and research institutions.
According to reporting by The Economic Times, the Prime Minister highlighted that educational institutions must equip students with the skills required to address real-world challenges and contribute to new sectors emerging in the digital economy.
Experts participating in the webinar also discussed the development of Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) hubs, which the government sees as a major creative industry with strong employment potential for young professionals.
Expanding Healthcare Infrastructure and the “Care Economy”
Healthcare and social welfare also featured prominently in the discussions. The government highlighted ongoing efforts to expand health infrastructure across the country, including the establishment of new medical colleges and healthcare facilities.
Prime Minister Modi pointed to the growing demand for healthcare workers globally and called for stronger training systems in the emerging “care economy.”
“In the coming decade, the demand for caregivers will rise sharply. We must develop new training models so that our youth can benefit from these opportunities,” he said during the webinar.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the expansion of health access through flagship initiatives such as the Ayushman Bharat programme and wellness centres that have brought healthcare services closer to rural communities.
He added that telemedicine has emerged as an important tool for connecting remote populations to healthcare professionals. However, he noted that greater public awareness and simpler digital interfaces are needed to increase its adoption across rural India.
Tourism, Sports and Cultural Economy in Focus
The webinar also discussed strategies to strengthen India’s tourism and sports sectors as engines of economic growth.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the potential of tourism to create employment in local communities and encouraged experts to focus on skill development, digital connectivity and community participation in tourism projects.
Sports development also formed a major part of the discussion. The Prime Minister noted that initiatives such as Khelo India have strengthened India’s sports ecosystem and improved access to infrastructure for athletes across the country.
“A healthy and disciplined youth population is the backbone of national power,” Modi said while stressing the need to identify sporting talent from smaller towns and rural regions.
Inclusive Development and Women’s Participation
Another key message from the webinar was the need for inclusive growth that benefits every section of society.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the importance of women’s participation in India’s economic transformation. “As we prepare for futuristic technologies, it is crucial that no daughter is held back due to a lack of opportunities,” he said.
Government leaders and policymakers have repeatedly emphasized that inclusive development remains a core principle of the administration’s economic vision. Speaking earlier on welfare-focused budgets, Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary said the government’s policies aim to address the needs of all sections of society while strengthening economic opportunities for women and youth.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has also stressed that the success of the budget depends on effective implementation. In remarks reported by The Economic Times, she said the focus should remain on “delivery-focused governance” that converts policy announcements into measurable outcomes for citizens.
Building the Road to “Viksit Bharat”
The post-budget webinar is part of a broader series designed to gather feedback from industry leaders, domain experts and policymakers. These discussions aim to ensure that government policies translate into real economic opportunities and social development.
Prime Minister Modi concluded the session by emphasising collaboration between government, industry and academia. He said such partnerships will help transform policy ideas into practical solutions and accelerate India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
With a strong focus on education reforms, healthcare expansion, job creation and social inclusion, the government’s roadmap seeks to ensure that every citizen and region participates in India’s economic growth story.
