Digital Connexion Launches India’s First NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center in Chennai

Chennai has taken a giant leap in the AI infrastructure story of India. Digital Connexion announced that its MAA10 facility in Ambattur, Chennai, is now certified as an NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center.

The certification represents a milestone moment in the country’s quest to fortify its computing backbone for AI innovation. It positions the facility to support high-performance artificial intelligence training, GPU-intensive workloads, and accelerated computing.

What “DGX-Ready” Means#

“DGX Ready” means that the data center is a qualified infrastructure that adheres to technical requirements specified by NVIDIA. The NVIDIA DGX program is instrumental in providing assurance for facilities capable of hosting DGX systems, which are high-performance servers built for deep learning and artificial intelligence.

These applications demand strong cooling and energy management solutions. The cooling system in the Chennai plant has both air and liquid cooling solutions catering to the intense computational requirements.

The data center complies with ASHRAE W2 thermal standards. This is a worldwide requirement for efficient cooling.

Infrastructure Built for Scale#

MAA10 has a robust N+2C Power Architecture, which provides additional backup power sources and prevents any potential power outages. This is particularly important for companies running mission-critical AI applications.

This certification also makes MAA10 part of an exclusive group of global facilities that are optimized for NVIDIA DGX systems.

What it means in simple language is that the center is prepared to handle lots of heavy-duty artificial intelligence without any breaks or slow performance. This makes it the best place for companies to use artificial intelligence.

CEO’s Take on India’s AI Future#

C.R.Srinivasan, the Chief Executive Officer of Digital Connexion, state that the certification augments its capacity in aggregating, processing, and managing a huge amount of data related to Artificial Intelligence.

He highlighted how, as AI applications are increasing in various sectors in India, infrastructure development is required. The amount of data in India is growing rapidly, making it imperative for it to have strong ‘computing hubs’.

According to experts, “Data gravity is becoming increasingly relevant with adoption of AI.” But now there is an industry report predicting that in 2025, “Delhi alone could produce 12,000+ exabytes of new data.”  Such DGX-ready facilities are thus crucial for addressing complex data-related issues.

Sustainability and Reliability#

MAA10 has a TIA-942 Rated 3, which is a guarantee that critical operations remain secure throughout maintenance.

It is also an IGBC Platinum Rated building and among the best standards for sustainability and green buildings in India.

This indicates that the factors manifest that the center not only wields power effectively but is additionally designed to be durable and responsible.

A Boost for India’s AI Ambitions#

The DGX-Ready certification enhances India’s position on the global AI map. With state-of-the-art data centers like MAA10, organizations are able to perform complex AI models more efficiently.

This is especially true for industries such as healthcare, fintech, retail, and research, in which AI demand is seeing a sudden rise.

For Chennai, this brings the city into the mainstream as a place for future-oriented AI infrastructure in the country of India.
