New Delhi, 14 September 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” along with the 8th Poshan Maah on 17 September. This nationwide initiative, led jointly by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women & Child Development, aims at boosting preventive, promotive, and curative health services for women, adolescent girls, and children.

Over one lakh health camps will be conducted across country, held daily in all government health facilities such as Community Health Centres, District Hospitals, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and others, up to 2 October. Key components include early detection of non-communicable diseases, cancer screenings, maternal and child health services, nutritional counselling, menstrual hygiene, and awareness campaigns.

In a tweet shared on 8 September, Health & Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda said:

“Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji will launch the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan on 17th September 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen healthcare services for women and children across India, ensuring better access, quality care, and awareness.”

Nadda also appealed to private hospitals and healthcare stakeholders to join this Jan Bhagidaari (people’s participation) Abhiyaan, underlining that the success of the campaign depends on wide participation.

This concerted campaign aligns with PM Modi’s vision of “Health, Poshan (Nutrition), Fitness, and a Viksit Bharat by 2047”. The Government is emphasising whole-of-society convergence, involving local bodies, community workers, and multiple ministries to ensure scale, outreach, and impact.
