Gautam Buddha Nagar to Host Employment Fair 2026: Over 2,000 Jobs on Offer for Youth

Gautam Buddha Nagar will host the Employment Fair 2026 on 25 February, featuring 100+ companies offering over 2,000 job vacancies. Candidates aged 18+ with Class 8 to postgraduate qualifications can register for free. The fair aims to connect local youth with skill-based employment.

In a significant step towards strengthening youth employment and skill-based hiring, Gautam Buddha Nagar district will host the Employment Fair 2026 on 25 February, under the Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission. The large-scale employment initiative is being organised by the District Employment Office at the Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions, Dadri, and is expected to draw thousands of job seekers from across the region.

The preparations for the employment fair were reviewed in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Development Officer Dr. Shivakant Dwivedi at the Collectorate. Senior officials from key departments, including labour, skill development, industry, banking, and technical education, were present to coordinate logistics and outreach strategies.

Wide Public Outreach Directed Across District

Emphasising inclusive access, the Chief Development Officer directed officials to ensure wide publicity of the employment fair at the tehsil, block, and gram panchayat levels. Departments were instructed to use print, electronic, and social media platforms extensively so that no eligible youth remains unaware of the opportunity.

Institutions such as ITIs, polytechnics, the Skill Development Mission, the District Industries Centre, and entrepreneur associations have been tasked with mobilising candidates and facilitating registrations. The objective, officials noted, is to bridge the gap between local talent and organised-sector employers.

Strong Administrative and Safety Arrangements

To ensure smooth conduct of the event, the district administration has planned robust law-and-order arrangements, including deployment of police personnel, fire safety units, and medical teams at the venue. The Employment Department has also been instructed to establish help desks, career guidance counters, and digital registration support systems, including QR-code-based registration.

100+ Companies, 2,000 Vacancies Expected

According to District Employment Officer Manisha Atri, the Employment Fair 2026 will witness participation from more than 100 reputed national and multinational companies, collectively offering over 2,000 job vacancies. The event is expected to attract more than 5,000 candidates.

Participating companies include major names such as Samsung, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL, Axis Bank, Vivo, Tech Mahindra, G4S, Radisson Blu, Uflex, Denso, Oppo, Lava, New Holland, KRBL Limited, and several others spanning manufacturing, IT, banking, hospitality, electronics, and services sectors.

Eligibility and Registration Details

The minimum age for participation is 18 years. Candidates with qualifications ranging from Class 8 pass to postgraduate degrees, including ITI, diploma, B.Tech, BBA, MBA, and pharmacy, are eligible to apply.

Interested candidates can register through the official portal rojgarsangam.up.gov.in or via the QR code issued by the district administration. Applicants must carry their resume, Aadhaar card, passport-size photograph, educational certificates, and registration slip (digital or printed). Importantly, the employment fair is completely free of cost.

A Step Towards Youth-Centric Development

Calling the initiative a “golden opportunity,” Dr. Dwivedi appealed to the district’s youth to participate actively. He stated that the Employment Fair 2026 is not merely a recruitment drive but a strategic effort to connect young people with dignified, skill-aligned employment, reinforcing the state’s commitment to inclusive economic growth. The review meeting was attended by District Development Officer Shiv Pratap Parmesh, officials from allied departments, and Nitin God, Placement Head of Vishveshwarya College.

Issued by the Information Department, Gautam Buddha Nagar.

  1. One point that stood out was the coordinated effort across tehsil, block, and gram panchayat levels to ensure no eligible youth misses the opportunity. Having attended a similar local fair in my own district last year, the difference that level of grassroots publicity makes was immediately obvious to me. It would be interesting to see how many of these 2,000 vacancies are actually filled on the day versus how many lead to follow-up interviews.

    1. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful perspective. You’ve highlighted an important aspect—coordinated efforts at the tehsil, block, and gram panchayat levels can significantly improve outreach and ensure that more eligible youth are reached. It’s great to hear your first-hand experience of how impactful grassroots publicity can be. We also agree that tracking how many of these 2,000 vacancies are filled on the day versus those that move to follow-up interviews will be key to understanding the true impact of the initiative. Insights like yours add real value to the discussion—thank you for contributing!

  2. The mention of candidates as young as 18 with only a Class 8 pass being eligible really stands out, as many job fairs set a higher minimum qualification. Having attended a similar local hiring event last year, the variety of skill-based roles available can make a real difference for those without traditional degrees. It’s encouraging to see the district actively reaching out at the block and gram panchayat levels to ensure no one misses this chance.

    1. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🙏
You’ve highlighted a very important point—opportunities like these can truly make a difference for youth with limited formal education. We’re glad you found this initiative meaningful. Our goal is to ensure the information reaches as many people as possible so no one misses out.

Insights like yours also help inspire others—please keep sharing your experiences! 😊
